ROBBERY

The Texas Penal Code describes robbery as in the course of committing theft, a person with intent to obtain or keep control of property intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly causes bodily injury to another or intentionally or knowingly threatens or makes one fear imminent bodily injury or death.

Aggravated robbery is defined as in the course of committing theft, a person causes serious bodily injury to another, uses or shows a deadly weapon, or causes bodily injury or threatens or makes one fear imminent bodily injury or death if the one is 65 years or older or is a disabled person, or an individual with mental, physical, or developmental handicaps who cannot protect himself from harm.
